Carson Wentz shouts out Nick Foles, says QB will ‘shine bright’ in Super Bowl
Nick Foles has defied the odds by leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a Super Bowl, and the man he replaced less than two months ago is fully confident Foles will finish the job on Sunday.
Hours before kickoff of Super Bowl LII, Carson Wentz took to social media to show support for Foles. The second-year quarterback predicted that his backup is going to “shine bright” on the game’s biggest stage.
My bro is gonna shine bright tonight! So excited to see him & this team go out and compete tonight. Been through it all this year as a team, & yet, here we are! WE ALL WE GOT. WE ALL WE NEED. God’s writing an unbelievable story and he’s getting all the glory! #AO1 #flyeaglesfly pic.twitter.com/eYu9aBwgCL

Wentz admitted last week that it has been difficult for him to watch his team from the sidelines after he was playing at an MVP-caliber level, but the former first-round pick has handled his torn ACL as well as you could expect him to. He’s been nothing but supportive of Foles, and that is continuing right up to kickoff.
