Chad Johnson has way to save CeeDee Lamb $1.2 million

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb spends an obscene amount of money on body maintenance each year, and retired NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson thinks he can trim that expense significantly.

“I’m not going to lie. It’s a lot of money,” Lamb told Complex on Thursday. “Every two weeks is $50,000… There’s 52 weeks in a year… That’s your number.”

That comes out to $1.3 million per year, and includes things such as ice baths, steam rooms, hyperbaric chambers, and red light therapy.

“The list could go on and on,” he said. “What I do for a living, it’s very physical, and some short weeks are more lethal than your regular seven-day schedule. So I’m just staying on top of that and always trying to replenish the body, stay hydrated, keep my muscle functioning up, and trying to get a lead on my opponent.”

But Johnson, who spent 11 seasons in the NFl, feels that is entirely unnecessary and has a very simple solution for Lamb.

Yo @_CeeDeeThree I can eliminate this expense by 1.2 million, all you need is a gym membership & McDonalds. https://t.co/IAzgSWLXS9

Johnson has never been shy about his love of McDonald’s. He claimed to eat there every day during his NFL career and says his first professional paycheck was spent there. He currently owns three of his own McDonald’s franchises in Cincinnati, Indiana, and Miami.

Although many took what Johnson said as tongue-in-cheek, there is likely an element of reality to his suggestion. His dedication to the fast-food chain runs deep and it’s not the first time he’s pitched eating McDonald’s food to elite athletes.

All of that being said, it’s safe to assume Lamb, who signed a four-year extension worth $136 million last August, won’t following Johnson’s attempted guidance.
