OC Chad O’Shea fired by Dolphins after one season
The Miami Dolphins are making a somewhat surprising change to their coaching staff after just one season.
According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the Dolphins have fired offensive coordinator Chad O’Shea, who only joined the team prior to the 2019 season.
#Dolphins have fired OC Chad O'Shea after one season, sources say. Brian Flores and the team make a move after O'Shea's offense ranked 27th in the league.

This one’s a bit of a surprise. The Dolphins had a bad offense for much of the season, but weapons were limited and they looked to have improved by the end of the season. It seemed reasonable to expect that O’Shea would have at least gotten another season, but clearly the team felt the need to make a move.
Prior to moving to Miami, O’Shea had spent ten years as the New England Patriots’ wide receivers coach. One has to wonder if he might have the chance to return to their offensive staff, especially if Josh McDaniels gets a head coaching gig.
