Adam Gase is back in the NFL — and so are the memes he’s inspired several years ago.
On Monday, reports surfaced about Gase joining the Los Angeles Chargers as an assistant coach under Bolts offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, who is also a new addition to the team’s coaching staff.
Shortly after news broke that Gase is returning to the NFL for the first time since the 2020 season, memes and hilarious reactions found their way onto social media.
Many of the reactions brought back to life memes inspired by Gase’s intense gazes during his introductory press conference in 2019 as the New York Jets head coach.

Jokes aside, this is a chance for Gase to convince everyone again that he can still be an important contributor as part of an NFL team’s think tank. His stint with the Jets did not help elevate people’s perception of him, as he went just 9-23 in the 32 games, but that may have had more to do with the franchise’s poisonous nature than his abilities on the sidelines.
Now with the Chargers, he’ll be able to work with an offense led by a talented quarterback in Justin Herbert, who is coming off his second Pro Bowl season in the NFL after passing for 3,727 yards and 26 touchdowns with 13 interceptions.
