Charles Woodson has hilarious reaction to Vinatieri’s missed field goal

It’s been 17 years since the infamous Tuck Rule game, but it’s fair to say that Charles Woodson isn’t over it.

You can figure that out based on his reaction to Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri missing a chip shot field goal Saturday in a snowy Kansas City — a field goal that Woodson wishes the kicker had missed back in 2002.

Woodson is referring to the AFC Divisional game on January 19, 2002 when Vinatieri braved heavy snow to kick tying and winning field goals in a 16-13 New England Patriots win over Woodson’s Raiders. Best known for the “tuck rule,” it kept the Patriots alive and is a key moment in the launch of their dynasty.

Vinatieri has missed kicks in the snow before. It just doesn’t normally happen in the playoffs, but it did on Saturday, demonstrating just how bad things are for the Colts — and bringing back some bad memories for the 2001 Oakland Raiders.
