Christian Watson had his “wanna get away?” moment on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
Right before halftime of the game, the Green Bay Packers receiver Watson got open by the left sideline for what looked like a sure touchdown pass from quarterback Jordan Love. But in an unbelievable muff by Watson, the ball hit him right on the hands … and glanced off them for an incompletion.

Had Watson made that catch, the Packers would have taken a three-score lead into halftime against a 49ers team down to second-stringer Brandon Allen at QB (with Brock Purdy injured). Instead though, they had to punt away the football to close out the half and were only able to maintain a modest 17-7 lead heading into the break.
The 25-year-old former second-round pick Watson has plenty of talent, especially when it comes to getting separation from defenders. But he still has yet to put it all together consistently and continues to have ridiculous highs and lows.
