NFL stars CJ Stroud, Micah Parsons did not impress with their ceremonial first pitches
NFL stars C.J. Stroud and Micah Parsons did not exactly impress with their ceremonial first pitches in Japan on Saturday.
Stroud and Parsons are in Japan as part of a 2024 Asia Tour sponsored by Gridiron Imports. While in Japan, they experimented with some sumo wrestling.

The two also threw out the ceremonial first pitch before a Tokyo Giants game.
Though Stroud is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, he didn’t exactly look like an ace when throwing his pitch. Parsons looked even less impressive as he bounced a pitch.
This is why baseball is different than ANY other sport. Both Micah Parsons & CJ Stroud are FREAK athletes. Watching them throw a baseball would never tell you that. pic.twitter.com/g4wd6r70j3

Parsons is a two-time All-Pro linebacker and looks incredibly athletic on the football field. But that doesn’t exactly translate to the pitching mound. Stroud was a standout quarterback in college and looked great as a rookie for the Texans. But as we’ve seen before, he doesn’t have the most natural throwing motion.
