Did coffee mug tip off Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers are back together?
One internet detective may have found the best clue of all to determine that Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley are back together.
Rodgers shared a lengthy post on Instagram Monday night that drew widespread attention. He followed that up with an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Tuesday.
Some thought Rodgers post and subsequent interview were related to an imminent announcement regarding his playing future. But it seems like both were related to another development — one about his personal life, not his football career.
In his Instagram note, Rodgers shared his thanks to Shailene Woodley (read it here). He and Woodley began dating in 2020, got engaged that year, and Rodgers credited her for helping him win NFL MVP in the 2020 season. He omitted her from his speech this month after winning MVP for the 2021 season. Then we heard reports saying their engagement had been called off.
Not only did Rodgers thank Woodley on Instagram Monday, but then he pointed towards someone off camera during his interview with McAfee Tuesday, while saying Woodley’s name. People believe she was in the home at the time he was doing the interview (details here).
On top of all that, an eagle-eyed sleuth picked up perhaps the most fun clue of all. The internet detective recognized that the coffee mug Rodgers held during his interview with McAfee was the same one used by Woodley in a 2020 Instagram post.
