Colleen Crowley’s attorney alleges Johnny Manziel ruptured her eardrum
The attorney for Colleen Crowley alleged on Monday that Johnny Manziel hit her so hard that her eardrum was ruptured.
Attorney Kathy Kinser told Dallas-Fort Worth’s KXAS-Channel 5 that Crowley still cannot hear out of her left ear.
“They expect it to heal, but it’ll take a while,” Kinser said, via ESPN’s Pat McManamon.
The details of the alleged assault had already been reported as part of the affidavit filed by Crowley in seeking protection, and can be found here. It included a bit in which Manziel struck Crowley in the ear with an open hand, after which she could no longer hear out of it. This is allegedly how the injury occurred. Manziel has denied any wrongdoing.
Manziel’s football career is very much secondary to his off-field problems. The Browns have publicly repudiated Manziel and his behavior and are expected to release him in March.
