Colts hopeful Philip Rivers will remain with team for multiple seasons
Philip Rivers signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason, but the organization is definitely hoping he’ll stay for longer than that.
Coach Frank Reich voiced his hope and belief that Rivers wants to keep playing beyond 2020 and would like it to be with the Colts.
Reich believes Philip Rivers wants to play more than one season, and he’s “very optimistic” it will be more than a one-year relationship with the team. Reich adds things still have to play out on the field. #Colts

Rivers may not be a true long-term solution for Indianapolis, but it sounds like the franchise is certainly banking on him in the short and medium term. The veteran quarterback turns 39 in December, but that’s not necessarily a death sentence for his career if he performs well enough on the field.
The quarterback does know what he’s going to do once his playing career ends. What we don’t know is when that will be.
