Colts star recruiting Julio Jones for Matt Ryan reunion
Matt Ryan and Julio Jones formed a fearsome quarterback-receiver duo for years with the Atlanta Falcons. Now one member of the Indianapolis Colts wants to get the band back together.
Colts linebacker Darius Leonard tweeted Jones shortly after the team sealed a trade for Ryan. Leonard told Jones that the wide receiver should sign with the Colts and “finish what y’all started” with Ryan.
@juliojones_11 aye man hear me out! Matt have already thrown you a lot of touchdowns in the dome in Atlanta, y’all could finish what y’all started in Atlanta in the dome here in Indy! 👀

Whether this is something actually on the Colts’ radar or not remains to be seen. The team does not have a lot of receiver depth behind Michael Pittman Jr., even if TY Hilton returns as a free agent. Of course, a Jones signing would have to work financially, and he would have to want to play in Indianapolis. After all, he may have other options.
Jones was released by the Tennessee Titans after a disappointing season that saw him play in just ten games. Teaming up with Ryan again could make sense for the 33-year-old as he looks to show he still has something left in the tank.
