Cowboys CB says he lost respect of Steve Smith because ‘he keeps yapping’
It’s not a secret that Steve Smith Sr. likes to talk a lot. For Dallas Cowboys rookie cornerback Anthony Brown, that got old fast.
Brown said after Sunday’s 27-17 win over Smith’s Ravens that he lost respect for the veteran receiver over his constant stream of trash talk.
“I had respect for him before the game, but after the game, I have no respect for him anymore,” Brown said, via ESPN. “He’s a real character, and I actually saw it for myself. I don’t got nothing to say about Steve Smith.
“Coming into the game, they already told me what kind of player he was, but until you see it for yourself, then you’re just, ‘Calm down,’ but it’s hard because he keeps yapping after every play. It’s kind of hard.”
The last time a rookie defensive back opened his mouth about Smith, it did not go well for him. We’ll see if the Baltimore veteran decides to offer up a similar response to these comments.
