Report: Cowboys were concerned about Greg Hardy last week

Greg Hardy

Jerry Jones defended Greg Hardy Sunday as one of the Dallas Cowboys’ leaders, but it appears the defensive end has acted as anything but that lately.

Not only did Hardy blow up on the Cowboys’ special teams coach Sunday, but he also appeared to flake on the team last week.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says Hardy was not on time Thursday, didn’t call, and missed practice with an illness.

#Cowboys were concerned about Greg Hardy last week. He wasn’t on time Thursday, didn’t call & they called around. DNP for practice (illness)

When you combine that with Hardy’s sideline fit and fight with special teams coach Rich Bisaccia and wide receiver Dez Bryant, it’s been a bad couple of days for the defensive lineman. Despite everything, the Cowboys say Hardy will not be disciplined. Perhaps this is all because Jones believes special players deserve special treatment.
