Report: Cowboys not interested in Josh Gordon
The Dallas Cowboys and Josh Gordon seemed like a perfect fit based on Jerry Jones’ history, but it does not sound like the receiver will be coming to Dallas.
The Dallas Morning News’ Jon Machota reported on Twitter Sunday that the Cowboys have “no interest” in Gordon. He did note the team plans to sign Brice Butler.

Butler spent the previous three seasons with Dallas and has familiarity with the team, so a reunion makes sense. Still, bringing back Butler is nowhere near as sexy of a move as adding Gordon would be.
Gordon has big-play potential, which is why the Cleveland Browns hung onto him for so long. But he’s so unreliable that Cleveland finally decided to part ways with him this weekend under murky circumstances. Maybe Dallas has decided that between Randy Gregory and some of their other players, they don’t need any more players with baggage.
Gordon was reported to have the most interest in playing for Dallas or the 49ers.
