Report: Josh Gordon most interested in Cowboys, 49ers
The Cleveland Browns have already announced their intent to part ways with Josh Gordon, meaning the wide receiver needs a new team. And apparently he has his eye on a few squads already.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says Gordon is eyeing the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
As teams discuss potentially trading for outgoing #Browns WR Josh Gordon, I’m told he’s got his eye on two in particular: The #Cowboys and the #49ers.

The Cowboys were a team mentioned as a natural fit due to Jerry Jones’ historical tendency to acquire talented but troubled players. But they got rid of Dez Bryant over the offseason, and they may not be ready to add another wide receiver who could pose a problem.
The 49ers have guys like Pierre Garcon, Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis at wide receiver but might have room for a big-time talent like Gordon.
Gordon would not be subject to waivers if released by the Browns. However, the team could try to trade him before cutting him. The Browns are moving on from Gordon after standing by him since 2012 even through multiple suspensions. The team appeared to decide they’d had enough of Gordon’s problems.
