Cowboys reportedly receiving calls on Darren McFadden
Dallas Cowboys running back Darren McFadden is injured and looks like the goose in a backfield of ducks, and other NFL teams are starting to take notice.
According to a report by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Tuesday, the Cowboys are receiving calls about the potential trade availability of McFadden. However, the team apparently would prefer to keep the former No. 4 overall pick.
The #Cowboys have received calls from teams seeking to trade for RB Darren McFadden, source said. DAL really wants to keep him, though.

The 29-year-old McFadden had something of a reawakening with the Cowboys last year, rushing for 1,089 yards and three touchdowns. But he suffered a broken elbow in June in a strange accident, and his status is up in the air for the beginning of the 2016 campaign, having not been ready for the preseason as previously hoped.
Either way, McFadden had become something of an extraneous piece after the Cowboys (ironically) spent the No. 4 overall draft pick in this year’s draft on Ezekiel Elliott, then signed ex-Redskins running back Alfred Morris, himself a former 1,000-yard rusher, presumably to serve as Elliott’s backup.
But McFadden is on the final year of a cheap deal that will pay him just $1.25 million in 2016. With Elliott already causing concern with his behavior off the field and Morris having regressed every single season since his rookie year, McFadden would still be a nice player to keep around if possible.
