Dalvin Cook admits he is playing at less than 100 percent
Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook returned from a hamstring injury to play against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night, but he was fairly ineffective and had just 10 carries in his team’s 38-31 loss. From the way it sounds, health played a role in that.
Cook, who injured his hamstring in Week 2 and was held out in Week 3, said Monday that he is not yet 100 percent healthy.
Dalvin Cook isn’t yet “100 percent” with his hamstring injury. “I want to be as bad as everybody else wants me to be,” but it’ll take time. Preached patience with #Vikings run game.

The Vikings had no problem scoring points against the Rams, but they would have had an even better chance to win a shootout if Cook rushed for more than 20 yards on 10 carries. The running back also caught no passes, and he usually plays a significant role in the passing game.
Cook will have had 10 days off between games when Minnesota takes on the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5, so perhaps the extra time off will help his hamstring heal.
