Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn solidified himself as a true football guy when he was bloodied by one of his own players on Sunday.
Commanders quarterback Marcus Mariota ran the ball late in the first half of the team’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md on Sunday. Raiders safety Tristin McCollum knocked Mariota out of bounds, and the quarterback’s forward momentum sent him careening straight into Quinn.

Quinn appeared to take Mariota’s helmet directly to his face, and was visibly bloodied by the incident. That did not matter to him, though, as he continued coaching up the team even with blood smeared over the bridge of his nose.

Other than the visible wound, Quinn did not appear any worse for wear. That is pretty impressive considering he took a huge hit and did not really have any way to protect himself.
We have seen plenty of bloodied faces in the early part of this NFL season. Players have been the victims of the other ones, however, not coaches. Quinn is a gamer, though. He was not letting this impact him.
