Dan Snyder Buys $70 Million, 224-Foot Yacht (Picture)

Those of you who were wondering why on earth the Washington Redskins would spend $100 million on Albert Haynesworth just to dump him almost immediately will enjoy this. There may be a salary cap in football, which makes money a rather important factor in assembling a team, but to the Redskins owner, money is no object. Check out the 224-foot yacht Dan Snyder just paid roughly $70 million for, courtesy of the Washington Post:

If you thought Ozzie Guillen was money hungry for the boat he wants, this thing will blow you away.  Among the floating mansion’s many features are six guest cabins — each with their own jacuzzi, a master suite that some would call a full apartment, and a five-story spiral staircase that leads to the main deck of the vessel.  Don’t worry, Snyder’s net worth is an estimated $1.1 billion so I don’t think he’ll have to sell it to feed his family like some other yacht owners have done before him.  Unless, of course, the Redskins have another losing season and their fans stop showing up.
