Darnell Dockett loves inflicting ‘physical bodily harm’ on other NFL players
If Roger Goodell wants to convince NFL fans that football is a safe game and the idea is not for people to get hurt, he had better do a better job of conveying that message to the league’s players. We all know football is an aggressive sport. There’s nothing wrong with a legal hit that inflicts pain on your opponent. To a certain extent, that is the object of the game.
However, the tweet Arizona Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett sent on Friday morning will surely make the commissioner cringe.
1 reason I love this game is bc I can inflict physical, bodily harm to another individual in an environment which it is morally acceptable

While Goodell knows the NFL is a violent league, he doesn’t want the players celebrating it. With all the extra attention that has been given to head shots and concussions over the last few years, any comment about injuring an opponent is going to be met with backlash. Not only that, but people now scream “bounty!” every chance they get because of what happened within the Saints organization.
Then again, those of us who know Dockett realize he loves ruffling feathers. Even ask AJ McCarron — he would certainly agree.
