Report: Darrelle Revis did not work out hard this offseason
Darrelle Revis is not off to a good start with the New York Jets, and at least one person believes that may be because the cornerback did not work out very hard this offseason.
Fresh off a Week 1 showing where he got roasted by the Bengals’ A.J. Green all game, Revis got burned by Marquise Goodwin for an 84-yard touchdown in Week against the Bills (video here).
Shortly after that happened, Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole tweeted this nugget:
As I reported earlier this week, #Jets CB Darrelle Revis didn't workout hard this offseason. Source said ominously: "You'll see. You'll see"

Now someone could have an ax to grind with Revis and that might be the genesis of the nugget, but there is one thing we do know, and that is Revis has not looked good to start the season.
Now 31, Revis is no longer playing at the elite level that earned him the nickname “Revis Island.” Whether that’s due to a lack of training is in question, but we do know going back to last year there was talk in the league that Revis was no longer the same.
