Darren Sproles found out Saints are trying to trade him on Twitter
Darren Sproles has generated a good amount of interest on the trade front this offseason. As a result, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that the New Orleans Saints are planning to deal him. Apparently this is not something that the team discussed with the veteran running back.
WOW! "@ESPNNFL: THIS JUST IN: Saints now plan to trade RB Darren Sproles due to heavy interest. He will not be released.

We all know how hectic this time of year can be for the NFL, and the last thing teams want to do is give up their leverage by perpetuating rumors. Anytime you try to trade a player and are unsuccessful, there’s always a risk that player could become disgruntled if he knows he was being shopped.
Sproles saw his role with the Saints decrease last season as a result of injuries and a crowded backfield. Pierre Thomas, Mark Ingram and rookie Khiry Robinson all received touches as Sean Payton went with a hot hand approach. The 30-year-old Sproles appears to be the odd man out.
Don’t feel bad, bro. Plenty of professional athletes find out important stuff about themselves and their teams on Twitter these days.
