DeAndre Hopkins is on the verge of becoming the latest Pro Bowl wide receiver to change teams ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
The Tennessee Titans have agreed to a trade to send Hopkins to the Kansas City Chiefs, according to multiple reports. The Chiefs are giving up a fifth-round draft pick that could become a fourth-round pick depending on Hopkins’ performance.

Hopkins has gotten off to a slow start this season with just 15 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown. The lack of production is hardly a surprise given that he is a 32-year-old receiver who has been catching passes (or trying to) from Will Levis and Mason Rudolph. The five-time Pro Bowl wideout still managed to catch 75 passes for 1,057 yards and 7 touchdowns last season while playing in 17 games.
The Chiefs had a major need for a wide receiver after Rashee Rice suffered a season-ending injury on a freak play in Week 4. Kansas City had been linked to one other former All-Pro receiver as well.
While Hopkins may not be as explosive as he was in his prime, he should be a lot more productive working with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes than he was in Tennessee.
