DeMarcus Lawrence on snubbing young fan who wanted autograph: ‘Suck it up’
A video of DeMarcus Lawrence refusing to sign an autograph for a young New York Giants fan has gained some attention on social media this week, but don’t expect any type of apology from the Dallas Cowboys star.
When Lawrence was on his way to the bus on Sunday, a young fan wearing a Saquon Barkley jersey eagerly ran up to him and asked for an autograph. Lawrence only looked at the boy and told him, “You need the right jersey, son.”

As you might expect, the refusal drew some criticism on Twitter. Lawrence, however, stands by his decision. He said Tuesday that there are plenty of kids wearing Cowboys gear that never get to meet players, so the ones wearing the colors of the enemy should “suck it up.”
It’s crazy how you fans want to attack me for not signing for a kid. It’s more than one kid that come to the game with Cowboys jerseys and never get to meet any player. So if I’m honest with my own kids I will never treat your kid better than mine so suck it up. #SorryNotSorry https://t.co/FwI7SI8rYS

If any Giants supporters want Lawrence’s autograph in the future, they should keep in mind that the star pass-rusher seems to have no problem with fans switching their allegiances. He recently recruited Oakland Raiders fans in hilarious fashion after all the Antonio Brown drama, so he probably wouldn’t mind acquiring some people from New York’s fanbase.
