Report: Derek Carr drawing trade interest due to key factor

The Las Vegas Raiders have been adamant that Derek Carr will be the team’s quarterback for 2022, but uncertainty is lingering for one specific reason.
Carr has been the subject of multiple trade inquiries, according to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Teams have not been deterred by the Raiders’ public statements about their quarterback. That is largely because of the uncertainty over Carr’s long-term future.
FYI: As teams continue to look for QB’s, multiple teams have expressed interest in @Raiders QB Derek Carr. Not a surprise at all, it’s that time of year. Expect the interest to continue to heat up as long as Carr’s contract situation remains as is.

As it stands, Carr would become an unrestricted free agent after the 2022 season. Reports indicate that the Raiders are ready and willing to give Carr big money, but that has not happened yet.
The Raiders do not seem to be entertaining these offers, which is an indication that they are not budging on Carr’s availability.
New head coach Josh McDaniels has consistently said he sees Carr as the team’s quarterback, and the organization’s current stance seemingly bears that out.
