Derrick Henry furious on sideline after rare mistake
Derrick Henry made a very uncharacteristic mistake early in the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, and the star running back was furious with himself.
Henry fumbled on just the second offensive snap of the game at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Steelers recovered at the Baltimore 42-yard line. Henry’s miscue snapped a remarkable personal streak of 538 consecutive touches without losing a fumble.

Henry was then shown on the CBS broadcast punching either himself or the bench as his teammates came over to offer encouragement.

You can understand why Henry was angry over turning the ball over in such a crucial divisional game, but the 538-touch streak dated back to Week 15 of the 2022 season. That is as impressive as it gets for a player who is the focal point of his team’s offense.
Henry entered Sunday’s game with 1,120 rushing yards and 14 total touchdowns in 10 games. Other than a wardrobe malfunction last week, the fumble is pretty much the only thing that has gone wrong for the All-Pro this season.
