The Philadelphia Eagles’ battered wide receiver corps could get some help, but they’ll have to win a couple more games for it to matter.
According to Tim McManus of ESPN, wide receiver DeSean Jackson is rehabbing well and getting close to a return. However, he is ineligible to come off injured reserve until the divisional round of the playoffs, meaning the Eagles will have to both get in and win a game without him to ensure his return to action.
DeSean Jackson is expecting to re-join the team on the field should the Eagles advance to the divisional round of the playoffs, a source said. He is feeling good and clocking 19 mph in rehab. Not eligible to return from IR until Round 2 of postseason.

Jackson underwent core muscle surgery in November. Even with a return on the table, it won’t do much to help the Eagles now given their shortage of weapons in the passing game. Even so, they control their own destiny in the NFC East.
Jackson played in just three games for Philadelphia this season. His nine catches for 159 yards showed just how explosive he could have been if he’d only been able to stay on the field.
