Dez Bryant not interested in playing football right now
Dez Bryant is a free agent and expects that to remain the case for the time being.
The wide receiver addresses his playing status with a couple of tweets sent on Tuesday. He said in one tweet that he had “no interest in playing football right now.”
This exactly why I don’t have no interest in playing football right now… I have not reached out to no organization trying to play … people forget real quick we are still human.. my anxiety and depression came from this type of stuff… what I realized nobody care but me https://t.co/1ePxE6bXIc

In another tweet he said he wasn’t retiring but just “taking care of (himself).”
I’m not retiring bro… I’m just taking care of myself… that’s a promise https://t.co/nMMVjuhXzb

Bryant expressed in June that he could turn to other interests rather than football.
The 30-year-old was cut by the Dallas Cowboys last year. He went several months without signing despite having interest and offers from teams. He finally signed with the Saints in November but quickly tore his Achilles tendon. Bryant shared video in May that showed himself being able to run and work out, so it seems he might be able to play if he wanted to. For now, he appears content to let NFL training camps get underway without him.
Bryant played all 16 games in 2017, catching 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns.
