Division rival has trash talk for Davante Adams after Raiders move

One rival player is hoping to give Davante Adams a very rude welcome to the AFC West next season.

Los Angeles Chargers cornerback JC Jackson spoke with reporters this week and offered some trash talk for Adams when asked about the Las Vegas Raiders’ acquisition of the star receiver.

“They better be ready for us,” said Jackson, per Tyler Dragon of USA Today. “I don’t want to talk about him. They better be ready for us.”

As division rivals, the Raiders and the Chargers will play each other twice a year. Adams and Jackson both got five-year contracts from their respective teams this offseason, so they will be seeing a lot of each other for the next several seasons.

The five-time Pro Bowler Adams will be getting a downgrade at quarterback from Aaron Rodgers to Derek Carr, but it will also be Adams’ chance to show that he is truly one of the best receivers in the league. Jackson will be doing his best to make life miserable for Adams however, which will only further fuel the growing Raiders-Chargers rivalry.
