DK Metcalf posted an obnoxious reaction on Monday to his suspension ending.
Metcalf was suspended two games for throwing a punch at a Detroit Lions fans during the Steelers’ Week 16 win over the Lions. The suspension kept him out of the rest of the regular season, but Pittsburgh pulled out a victory on Sunday night to clinch the AFC North and a postseason berth. That’s great news for Metcalf, who has now been cleared to return to action and join his team in preparing for the Houston Texans.
The Steelers wide receiver shared his reaction via a post to his Instagram Story Monday. He shared a meme video that shows a man celebrating after being let out from a lockdown type of situation.
“Home free” was the message in the video.

That’s how Metcalf feels. He feels like he has been let out of jail and now has been released to go help his team. Of course, Metcalf lost his composure and punched at a fan to put himself in a place were he was suspended, so that’s on him.
Metcalf finished the regular season with 59 catches for 850 yards and 6 touchdowns in his first season with the Steelers. He is hoping to add on to his stats with the Steelers in their playoff game on Monday night.
