Dolphins coach shares rough injury news on Jaylen Waddle
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel shared a rough update on Monday concerning the status of Jaylen Waddle.
McDaniel told reporters that the injury Waddle suffered on Sunday is looking more like a high ankle sprain rather than a shin injury as they initially thought.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel says WR Jaylen Waddle’s shin injury from yesterday’s game is “looking more like a high ankle” today.
Miami will get further tests done to determine the severity

Waddle had 1 catch for 50 yards in Miami’s 22-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16 on Sunday. He also took one carry for two yards on an end-around play, which is where he got hurt.
There are only two games left in the regular season before the playoffs begin, so it’s possible that Waddle will miss the rest of the regular season.
Miami is 11-4 and has clinched a playoff berth. They visit the Ravens in Week 17 and host the Bills in Week 18. It’s quite possible — if not likely — that the game against Buffalo in Week 18 will be for the AFC East.
Waddle has 72 catches for 1,014 yards and 4 touchdowns this season.
