The Arizona Cardinals cut draft bust Robert Nkemdiche last month because he was not in shape. Nkemdiche since has joined the Miami Dolphins, but apparently nothing has changed regarding his conditioning.
Miami Herald columnist Armando Salguero said on Thursday that Nkemdiche was unable to run a full gasser before the team’s preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars later that night.
Robert Nkemdiche, who joined the Dolphins a couple of weeks ago and is on active/PUP, doesn't seem to be in any sort of football shape. Tried to run gassers pregame and could not complete run across field (53 1/3 yards) and all the way back.

Arizona Cardinals reporter Kent Somers saw the report and added context, saying Cardinals players could not believe how out of shape Nkemdiche was when he reported to their training camp in July.
His teammates in AZ were stunned how out of shape he was when he reported for camp. Also skipped rehab sessions for his knee. apparently nothing has changed. https://t.co/1Y08cfc7ct

That’s essentially what coach Kliff Kingsbury said the day before Nkemdiche was cut.
Nkemdiche played in just 27 games over three seasons for the Cardinals, making 44 tackles. The No. 29 overall pick in 2016, Nkemdiche had multiple off-field problems in college. He is recovering from a torn ACL suffered in December.
