Report: Dolphins will ‘seriously listen’ to trade offers for Jarvis Landry
The Miami Dolphins already lost their most important offensive player for the season when Ryan Tannehill went down, and apparently they are willing to part ways with another key player on that side of the ball.
According to Michael Lombardi of The Ringer, the Dolphins plan to “seriously listen” to trade offers for Jarvis Landry in the coming weeks.

Landry’s base salary for the 2017 season is less than $900,000, and he has been openly seeking a new contract. The former LSU star has averaged 96 catches per season through his first three years in the NFL. He likely wants to be paid like one of the top wide receivers in the league, and it’s possible Miami does not want to pay him that much.
A number of factors could play a role in the Dolphins’ decision to entertain trade offers. From a football standpoint, DeVante Parker has been lighting it up in camp and was a first-round pick back in 2015. Perhaps he’s the guy Miami eventually wants to pay, and it’s always tough to pay two No. 1 wideouts.
Of course, Landry also recently found himself at the center of a domestic violence investigation, though his girlfriend released a strong statement defending him. Still, that could contribute to the Dolphins’ reported willingness to part ways with their best pair of hands.
