The Jacksonville Jaguars traveled to London this week without Donte Moncrief after an unexpected issue arose, but the wide receiver was able to join his teammates on Friday.
According to Daniel Popper of The Athletic, Moncrief had an issue with his passport and was unable to board the Jaguars’ private plane. He ended up having to take a commercial flight across the pond.
Donte Moncrief was not on the team plane because of a passport mishap. But he took a commercial flight and just landed in London. On his way to the practice field. #Jaguars

Popper said Moncrief gave some “playful waves” to his teammates after he arrived at the practice field, so it would be a surprise if the team disciplines him for whatever happened. It’s unclear exactly what the passport issue was, but it’s possible it wasn’t Moncrief’s fault.
Fortunately, the problem was sorted out. We’ve seen situations involving pro athletes and passports that did not turn out so well in the past, and the last thing the reeling Jags would have needed was to be missing another key offensive player.
