Doug Baldwin: Seahawks will link arms during anthem as show of unity
Doug Baldwin said that the Seattle Seahawks would do something as a team during the national anthem on Sunday, and he is now revealing what that is.
Baldwin revealed in a social media video that the entire team would stand and link arms during the anthem as a show of unity.

“We are a team comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds and as a team we have chosen to stand and interlock arms in unity,” Baldwin says in the video. “We honor those who have fought for the freedom we cherish and we stand to ensure the riches of freedom and the security of justice for all people. Progress can and will be made, only if we stand together.”
The Seahawks said that anything they did during the anthem would be done as a team after Jeremy Lane kneeled for the anthem the previous week. They are following through on that, and it does seem to be a fairly significant statement.
