Drew Brees reportedly wants 4 years, $100 million from Saints
Drew Brees still hasn’t signed on long-term with the New Orleans Saints, and now that we have an idea of what he wants, we can start to understand why.
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Brees wants a four year commitment from the Saints with a salary in the $100 million range.
Brees has been seeking a 4yr deal worth $100M I'm told. He doesn't want to negotiate in-season. We'll see if something can get done

There are two ways to look at this. On merit alone, Brees is probably a $25 million a year quarterback. On the other hand, such a deal for a 37-year-old would be somewhat absurd, and Brees likely isn’t getting a deal that takes him that far into his 40s. The Saints would probably like a commitment of fewer than four years. That may clear up confusion as to why talks haven’t yet gone anywhere.
