Many experts believed that former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins should be the second quarterback taken in the NFL Draft after Kyler Murray. The New York Giants were not among them, making Duke’s Daniel Jones the sixth overall pick and the second quarterback off the board.
Haskins didn’t seem too impressed with their decision, laughing a bit and shrugging as Roger Goodell announced the selection.

There were definitely some who saw this coming, and the Giants will have their reasons for picking Jones at No. 6, leaving Haskins on the board. It may result in some team picking in the teens — perhaps one in particular — getting a quarterback they may not have expected to get.
