Given the Washington Redskins’ actions this week, it’s pretty clear that Dwayne Haskins does not have a stranglehold on the team’s quarterback job right now, and he’s noticed.
The Redskins have been linked to multiple quarterbacks in both free agency and the draft in the last several days. That must be unsettling news for Haskins, who was the team’s first round draft pick a year ago under the previous front office regime.
Haskins seems determined to prove himself judging from a tweet he sent Saturday.

In addition to the top draft quarterbacks, reports have started to link Washington with more established veteran options. Maybe Haskins would prefer that, since it wouldn’t necessarily supplant him as the quarterback of the future. Ultimately, though, he’s going to want to start in 2020, and seems determined to put the work in to make that happen.
