Eagles LB who ripped Kirk Cousins dodges questions after loss
Kirk Cousins got the last laugh on Sunday after a Philadelphia Eagles linebacker essentially said that his unit was eager to force the Minnesota Vikings quarterback into throwing.
Zach Brown, an Eagles linebacker and former teammate of Cousins in Washington, said during the week that the quarterback was the “weakest part” of Minnesota’s offense and that they wanted to make Cousins throw the ball. Cousins did just that on Sunday, completing 22-of-29 passes for 333 yards and four touchdowns — with just one interception.
After the game, a chastened Brown was not in the mood to answer questions about Cousins or his comments.

This turned out to be a pretty big lesson in premature trash talking. Brown’s comments backfired, the Eagles got shredded, and Cousins silenced some doubters. Maybe he even calmed the doubts of one of his teammates.
