Report: Stefon Diggs has been frustrated with Vikings before
Stefon Diggs has essentially admitted to being frustrated with the Minnesota Vikings, and apparently that is nothing new.
Diggs was described as being frustrated during Minnesota’s Week 4 loss to Chicago. He hadn’t talked with the media for a few weeks either until Thursday, when he admitted there was some truth to rumors of him wanting a trade.
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler tried to analyze the situation and said Thursday he’s been told the Vikings are hoping the situation blows over and that Diggs has been frustrated with the team before.
From what I’ve gathered after asking around on Stefon Diggs situation…
*Vikings hoping this blows over while handling internally
*This isn’t first time Diggs has been frustrated with team dynamics
*still unclear to many what ‘s actually making him upset (though assume offense)— Jeremy Fowler (@JFowlerESPN) October 4, 2019
Though it’s unclear what exactly Diggs is upset about, it doesn’t take much to figure out what might be the problem. His targets are down significantly as the offense has shifted to a run-first focus rather than a passing one; he has just 13 catches through four games after catching a career-high 102 passes on 149 targets in 2018. Kirk Cousins has also played poorly all season.
This week, Diggs seemingly expressed interest in a trade to the Patriots.
