Emmanuel Sanders has a message for all of his doubters

Emmanuel Sanders is set to become a free agent next month, and it remains to be seen what type of market there will be for him given his age and injury history. If teams doubt his ability to produce at a high level, Sanders believes they will be making a huge mistake.

Sanders took to Twitter on Tuesday to brag about his resume. The 33-year-old said he finds it “crazy how people keep talking bout my age” and ignoring what he did on the field in 2019.

The San Francisco 49ers traded a third- and fourth-round pick to the Denver Broncos for Sanders at the deadline this season, and the decision worked out. He had a couple of huge games after the trade, highlighted by when he caught seven passes for 157 yards and a touchdown in the Niners’ thrilling 48-46 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 14.

Sanders suffered a torn Achilles late in the 2018 season, and he ended up making a remarkable recovery. That is one of the most difficult injuries to come back from, but Sanders was able to play at a high level the following season. If teams are concerned about his age and ability to stay healthy, he could wind up being one of the biggest bargains of the offseason.
