Ereck Flowers called reporter to apologize after shoving him
New York Giants offensive lineman Ereck Flowers did something very immature after Sunday night’s loss to the New York Giants, and the second-year player has since apologized for his actions.
According to SNY’s John Fennelly, Giants head coach Ben McAdoo said Monday that Flowers called ESPN’s Jordan Raanan to apologize for shoving him. For what it’s worth, Raanan tweeted on Sunday that the incident was a “minor thing.”
All good. Minor thing. No need for anyone to be concerned. https://t.co/yJsjgGXDNs

McAdoo also said the issue has been addressed with Giants GM Jerry Reese and the team’s public relations department. Flowers was in no mood to answer questions from the media after his team’s loss, and he reportedly got physical with Raanan after a brief exchange. You can read more details about the incident here.
You can understand players being in a bad mood after losing, but shoving a reporter is inexcusable. The Giants will likely take internal disciplinary action against Flowers.
