Report: Giants OL Ereck Flowers pushes reporter after loss

Ereck Flowers

New York Giants offensive lineman Ereck Flowers had a rough game on Sunday night, and that continued in the locker room after the game.

According to a report from NJ.com, Flowers shoved a reporter after the Giants lost 23-16 to the Green Bay Packers.

NJ.com says Flowers was talking with two reporters in front of his locker after the game when ESPN’s Jordan Raanan came over. Flowers apparently made it clear that Raanan wasn’t welcome. The two had a brief exchange, which apparently ended with Flowers shoving Raanan.

Here’s how NJ.com says the exchange went:

Flowers: “Hey, get out my face man. Don’t come over here.”

When Raanan didn’t move, Flowers moved his face close to the reporter’s and asked, “You hear me?”

Raanan: “I’m just trying to do my job.”

Flowers: “Go over there.”

Raanan: “I’m just trying to do my job.”

Flowers: “Get the (expletive) out of my face, bro.

Raanan: “I’m just trying to do my job.”

Flowers then said, “Go over there, man,” as he shoved Raanan.

It’s unclear what had Flowers so upset with Raanan, but the Giants reporter was one of many journalists who pointed out Flowers’ struggles:

Flowers allowed six pressures and two sacks in the game. About the only bright side to this development is it takes the takes the focus off this Giants player for now.
