Everyone said the same thing after Titans fired Mike Vrabel

Mike Vrabel at a press conference

The Tennessee Titans stunned the NFL world when they announced on Tuesday that they have parted ways with Mike Vrabel, and many people believe they know what will come next for the head coach.

Vrabel is just two years removed from being named NFL Coach of the Year. While the Titans went 6-11 this season and have missed the playoffs two years in a row, it is still a surprise that they fired Vrabel. There have been some recent rumblings that the 48-year-old wanted out.

Now that Vrabel is available, everyone seems to think he is destined to become the next head coach of the New England Patriots.

Vrabel played linebacker for the Patriots from 2001 to 2008. He was a core member of the first three Super Bowl-winning teams of the Bill Belichick era. A report during the season claimed Vrabel would be Robert Kraft’s dream candidate if the Patriots move on from Belichick.

If Kraft does plan to bring in a new head coach, the timing with Vrabel seems perfect. There is also reason to believe Vrabel has interest in the job.
