Ezekiel Elliott officially a no-show at Cowboys’ camp
Dallas Cowboys training camp is underway, and Ezekiel Elliott is not there.
According to Jane Slater of NFL Network, Elliott was a no-show for the team’s morning physical and conditioning run as the star running back continues to seek a new long-term contract with the organization.
My team sources tell me Ezekiel Elliott was not on site for the morning physical or conditioning run. I’m also told that while the #Cowboys can fine him it doesn’t necessarily mean they will. That’s at each team’s discretion.

There’s no word on how long this holdout will last. While Elliott and the Cowboys have had contract discussions, reports Friday indicated that nothing was close between the two sides.
The big date to watch here is August 6. If Elliott does not report by that date, he’d lose a year of credit toward unrestricted free agency. Given that he’s already seeking a new contract and not particularly close to that threshold, that date may not matter to him anyway.
