Rumors about a potential split between the Las Vegas Raiders and star pass rusher Maxx Crosby simply refuse to die.
The five-time Pro Bowler added more fuel to the speculations when he shared a social media post on Sunday that did not really say much about his future, but sparked intrigue among fans.
“Blessed,” Crosby wrote along with emojis of an eagle and a diamond.

That eagle emoji did not go unnoticed by several fans, who seemingly believe that it was a hint about where he wants to play next.

The 28-year-old Crosby is signed through the 2029 NFL season, but starting in 2027, there will be no dead cap hit if Las Vegas trades or releases him.
Crosby is also a product of the Eastern Michigan Eagles football program, so that could explain his eagle emoji.
In any case, the future of Crosby with the Raiders has been a major topic among Las Vegas fans, especially after he was held back from action near the end of the 2025 NFL regular season. He wanted to finish the season playing, but Las Vegas put him on the injured reserve because of a knee issue, a decision that apparently did not sit well with him.
It’s a long offseason, and it will be interesting to follow this lingering drama in Las Vegas.
