The Indianapolis Colts will be relying on Jacoby Brissett as their quarterback this season, and coach Frank Reich is feeling very bullish about his potential.
Reich has maintained that Brissett will be the starting quarterback ever since Andrew Luck’s surprise retirement, but on Sunday, he added that he sees Brissett as both “the man” and “the answer” for the Colts.
Reich on Brissett: He is the man. He is the answer.

This is not exactly new from Reich, who has put Brissett in the top two-thirds of NFL quarterbacks. Still, it bears noting how he’s performed. Brissett is 5-12 as an NFL starter, even if his 2017 campaign with the Colts wasn’t quite with as talented a supporting cast as he may have now. Reich has made a quality quarterback out of the overlooked Nick Foles, and he must be banking on the same thing happening with Brissett. He’s certainly raised expectations.
