Fred Taylor upset with officiating during AFC championship game
Jaguars great Fred Taylor was none too pleased with the officiating during the first half of the AFC championship game.
Jacksonville went into the locker room with a 14-10 lead, but all wasn’t good for Jaguars fans. Taylor, the franchise’s all-time leading in rushing yards, took to his Twitter account to voice his displeasure with a couple of calls that were made, including this hit by Barry Church on Rob Gronkowski.
Delay of game? #phantomCall

This ref is on the payroll. Terrible call

Taylor also responded to a couple of users, who disagreed with his opinions on the whistles.
It was a shoulder to the head. That’s a non call https://t.co/wFbIdObq8j

On the same drive as Church’s hit that resulted in a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty, A.J. Bouye was penalized for pass interference against Brandin Cooks that gave the Patriots excellent field position. New England scored a touchdown two plays later. Bouye’s penalty also looked to be questionable.
This coverage was so dominant that they basically threw a pity flag for Cooks. Crushed off the field pic.twitter.com/SC3PbW3hco
