George Kittle shares why he does not mind getting few catches
George Kittle and Jimmy Garoppolo are often big pieces of the San Francisco 49ers’ offense, but they didn’t have to do much on Sunday in the team’s 37-20 win over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game.
The Niners’ rushing attack stole the show — led by Raheem Mostert’s 220-yard, four-touchdown performance — and that was fine by Kittle.
The tight end only had one catch in the game and said the lack of stats don’t bother him in the least.
“The more you get tackled, the sorer I am in the morning. So I’m going to wake up tomorrow — I’m going to be going to the Super Bowl AND I’m going to feel great, so I’m pretty excited,” Kittle told ESPN’s Scott Van Pelt.
Well, when you look at it that way, his perspective makes plenty of sense.
San Francisco has two weeks to rest and prepare for the Super Bowl matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, who are slight favorites.
