The Dallas Cowboys are already getting the full George Pickens experience.
Pickens, the new Cowboys receiver, had a very up-and-down game on Sunday against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill. After CeeDee Lamb was injured early in the first half, Pickens responded with a nifty one-handed grab for a touchdown in the second quarter to help Dallas tie the game.

But then in the fourth quarter, Pickens embarrassed himself on a much simpler play. On 1st-and-10 from Chicago’s 36-yard line, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott fired a short pass to a wide-open Pickens. But unfortunately, the ball glanced right off Pickens’ hands and was intercepted by Chicago’s Tremaine Edmunds on the carom.

When he returned to the sideline, Pickens started throwing a tantrum. He slammed his helmet on the ground multiple times and created a real spectacle. Here is the video.

Dallas traded for the former 1,000-yard receiver Pickens in May with the hopes that he could help revamp their offense. He did also catch another touchdown in a Week 2 win over the New York Giants, but it is clear that Pickens, 24, is still an extremely volatile player.
That said, maybe this actually marks some positive character development for Pickens. At least he was only angry at himself during Sunday’s game instead of pointing the finger at others (as Pickens often did during his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers).
